Escha van der Bogerd
Escha van der Bogerd proved again her talent  with the
new collection of figurative paintings signed in 2008.

Her romantic and powerful paintings are an excellent
combination of classic and modern which captivates the
eye with diverse emotions.

The way Escha van der Bogerd paints the human body
represents a poetry transcended into color and canvas,
revealing with grace the woman beauty.

EDGARTISTA
My pictures present a chaotic “reality”, charged with poetry
and figures in conflicting tensions. Their wings symbolize
the need to find ones own way in the confines of local
environs – and to accentuate and liberate ones true self.
Diverse in shape and expression, they populate an empty
space and develop, during the process of painting,
particular characteristics and dynamics in relation to each
other. They, become so to speak, alive in the course of the
changes of their interrelationship, and are thus analogous
to Darwin´s mutants, which survive by adapting to new
circumstances.
"A work of art has to evoke ideas and emotions.
The ones of Rodríguez evoke a feeling of uneasy
pleasure. The human body, the probably oldest
and most repeated subject of art, has in Rubén a
creator sui generis, who repeats this motive
without trying to draw comparisons, while still
containing the various stages of art".
