| Something About Dan Schwartz "Being an artist is not an occupation, but a lifestyle or a destiny.” Having had no formal art education, I rely on inspiration. Having had no schooling, I’ve had nothing to unlearn. Having been taught no concepts of right or wrong, I’ve been free to tap into that internal source of common sense. I’ve found that intuition is as reliable a guide as any. Spending the past decade working in the national radio sales arena, specializing in painting pictures with words to create and convey meaning, has inevitably prepared me to more appropriately paint pictures with paint. My previous work experienced taught me that the pen is indeed mightier than the sword. My current art experience teaches me that the palate knife is even mightier than the pen. |
