| Something About Jose Maldonado Jose Alberto Maldonado was born in Guatemala city in the year 1981. Since a little kid he liked to draw a lot since his father was studing architecture and had various project laying around his work area. Once when he was between 5 or 6 years old he was asked in school to write about his favorite famous person so he went to the library and got a book on his idol and inspiration to this day Pablo Picasso. That was the moment that began his matrimony with art and painting. He moved to the united states when he was 13. He lived in various cities all along the east coast some like Baltimore, New Jersey, Savannah, and Florida. Living in Florida his best friend a painter from Mexico City told him to start painting because he found his drawings very interesting so that is when he started this was in the summer of 2005. His brothers were living in New York city and told him to move there because art was a big thing there so he went. Brooklyn was his neighboorhood and studio. He painted there more than 70 paintings much of them were not finished since he likes to work in more than one at a time. His friend again came to visit him there and stayed 2 months, in the last week Jose decided to stop painting in that country, he didn´t find nothing interesting anymore and it seemed like he was wasting his time. He left all his paintings, drawings, books and writings since he often writes poetry sometimes and plays the guitar. He needed to begin a new and fresh and really find his own style. He and his friend moved to Mexico City there he lived 2 months, did 2 paintings cause of inspiration lost, although he still misses that city and the beautiful people that always showed him love, he hope to return there one day. In Mexico city he decided to do a south american trip with his friend. So they bought a ticket and flied to Buenos Aires, Argentina where he decided to stay since his inspiration came back with a passion stronger than ever and moved his heart so beautifully. He lives now in Belgrano a quiet and wonderful neighborhood, that inspires him now. |
